As a photo retoucher it is my responsibility to capture art as it exists in life, as accurately as possible. Untitled by Laura Owens from the November 2019 Contemporary Art Day auction and catalog was one of the more difficult edits. Many of the colors were washed out and way off the mark. It took a few rounds of edits before I was able to put the colors back in line. Sometimes it requires seeing the piece multiple times in person and patience. My edit was used for a full page detail spread and as the lot image for both the catalog and the website.
