The Important Americana catalogue includes various works from many different collections and institutions. This includes fine furniture, decorative arts, folk art, silver, Chinese ceramics, prints, historic maps and manuscripts.
Neoclassical Figural White Marble Mantel Surround, Second-Quarter 19th Century:
The most challenging edit for this sale was the Neoclassical Marble Mantel, where I was tasked to create something from nothing. It was shot with the right base missing and laid on top of styrofoam on a dirty background. After silhouetting the piece on white, I took the left base and used it to fill in the missing side. I was careful to create shadows that would make it look convincing.
