Another piece from the November 2019 Contemporary Art Day sale, this acrylic on paper is an example of Richard Hambleton’s highly recognized “Shadowman” figures. Besides a simple silhouette on white, the company also asked me to improve the color. Viewing the work in person made it easy to see which direction I needed to go; I increased the weight of the black, as well as made the yellow less red. The edited piece was used in the printed catalog and on the website.
