My Role -
Image Editor
“In many ways my paintings are about energy - both in how they are created and the image itself.”
- James Rosenquist
Spanning 46 feet across, the enormous painting by James Rosenquist, Joystick is a sight to behold. I was given the gallery shot and asked to silhouette it on white and make sure it was squared up. After that I balanced the lighting and made sure certain colors were consistent throughout. As for overall changes I increased saturation and contrast in order to make it as rich and vibrant as possible. The finished image was used in an article by curator Judith Goldman, “James Rosenquist: Two Paintings”.
